Junior IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Junior IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer with expertise in designing and implementing cutting-edge IT systems within the railway domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop comprehensive IT system hardware solutions, including Racks, Servers (Memory, CPU), Storage, Workstations, Access Switches, and other infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sub-systems, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.
  • Configure and implement IT system software, including Operating Systems, Virtual Machines, COTS, IP parameters, and hardening procedures.
  • Develop and execute integration, verification, and validation (IVV) scenarios to guarantee high-quality system delivery.
  • Participate in bidding and project activities, ensuring the successful operation of Reference and Integration platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation associated with system design, implementation, and testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Prior experience in IT engineering roles, preferably 1 year, but open to fresh graduates as well.
Knowledge and Interest Areas:
  • IT infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Data centre design and implementation.
  • Disaster recovery design and implementation.
  • High availability systems.
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, VSAN).
  • Kubernetes.
  • Storage systems.
  • Hardening procedures.
  • Firewall policy implementation.
  • L3 and L2 switches configuration and troubleshooting.
  • System configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Load, performance, and integration testing.
Bonus Points:
  • Knowledge of communication protocols at network and application levels.
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Systems engineering lifecycle experience.
  • Thermal simulation experience.
  • EMC/EMI experience.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and participate in railway projects.
