Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Life Science professional to lead our API manufacturing and plant operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GMP environments and experience in supervising critical process steps.

About the Role:

  • Oversee API manufacturing and plant operations during 12-hour shifts, ensuring smooth execution aligned with the production schedule.
  • Manage non-conformances by facilitating communication within and across teams, providing investigation input, and ensuring timely documentation correction.
  • Support operational excellence by conducting GEMBA walks, identifying improvement opportunities, driving process enhancements, and maintaining the plant in a state of audit readiness.
  • Lead or contribute to Tier 2 meetings, cross-functional discussions, and safety assessments while promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Assist the Manufacturing Manager in daily planning and area activities, and act as deputy during their absence.
  • Mentor, coach, and train chemical technicians, participate in recruitment, manage team performance, and cultivate a collaborative work environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Life Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of pharmaceutical experience in a GMP environment (preferably API)
  • Minimum of 2 years of people management experience
  • Able to work comfortably in 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night)
  • Leadership experience in training less experienced Chemical Technicians required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
