Sheet Metal Process Engineer Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with our customers to prepare sheet metal process drawings and programs for machines.

Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as the engineer will be responsible for jigs & fixture preparation, new product development collaboration with customer R&D, and ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering or equivalent, with solid experience in the sheet metal industry. Proficiency in Solid works & AutoCAD is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sheet metal process drawings and programs for machines based on customer requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems using creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate with customer R&D on new product development projects
  • Maintain quality control by adhering to the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Support audit work and document preparation
  • Train junior engineers on new designs and processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Solid works & AutoCAD knowledge
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the sheet metal industry
