
Bar Operations Specialist

The Bar Operations Manager will oversee the daily functions of a busy bar, ensuring smooth service and high-quality customer experience while maintaining adherence to health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all aspects of daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Evaluate and maintain adequate inventory levels for beverages, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the bar area.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable alcohol licensing laws and health regulations.
Leadership Qualities:
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
- Create staff schedules and ensure proper coverage during shifts.
- Conduct ongoing training sessions on mixology, service standards, and upselling techniques.
- Perform employee performance reviews, address conflicts, and administer disciplinary actions as necessary.
Customer Engagement:
- Ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and friendly service at all times.
- Respond promptly to customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
Financial Management:
- Analyze bar revenue, costs, and profitability to make informed decisions.
- Prepare and manage budgets, sales reports, and forecasts to optimize financial performance.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock orders to prevent shortages or waste.
- Implement cost-control measures to minimize spillage, breakage, and theft.
Menu Development:
- Design and update drink menus to reflect seasonal cocktails and trends.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute bar promotions, events, and happy hours.
- Analyze sales data to optimize menu pricing and product selection.
