Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description
  • Create Fine-Dining menu that highlights the authentic taste of Chettinad restaurant: Develop innovative menus that showcase the rich flavors and aromas of Chettinad cuisine, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Plan and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations: Strategically manage kitchen workflows, supervise staff, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Provide direction, supervision, and coaching to team members: Mentor junior chefs, share knowledge, and promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Plan and food preparation process: Source high-quality ingredients, plan recipes, and execute flawless cooking techniques to ensure dishes meet our standards.
  • Consistent production of high-quality dishes: Monitor and improve cooking methods, presentation, and flavor profiles to consistently deliver exceptional results.
  • Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly and adhere to standards set to maintain and enhance guest's experiences and satisfaction: Maintain accurate inventory management, waste reduction strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Passionate and have knowledge of beverage and cocktail: Enhance your skills in mixology, beer, and wine service to offer an exceptional beverage experience.
  • Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare food: Regularly inspect raw materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Estimate for ingredients to be purchased: Accurately forecast ingredient needs, reducing waste and optimizing procurement processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Recipes: Familiarity with traditional and modern recipes, as well as ability to create new ones.
  • Cooking: Expertise in various cooking techniques, including grilling, roasting, sautéing, and frying.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Ingredients: Knowledge of fresh produce, meat, dairy, and pantry staples.
  • Food Safety: Understanding of HACCP principles, proper food handling practices, and sanitation procedures.
  • Inventory: Ability to manage stock levels, track inventory, and minimize waste.
  • Purchasing: Experience in procuring high-quality ingredients and supplies.
