Transport Operations Coordinator

This role is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination and monitoring of transport operations to ensure they are performed in accordance with prescribed safety, quality and productivity levels.

The Transport Operations Coordinator will act as the primary liaison between external hauliers and internal stakeholders, coordinating the planning and allocation of delivery and transport orders. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining and preparing key data sets for reporting and presenting findings to internal stakeholders for review.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and coordination of transport operations
  • Monitoring and ensuring that all transport orders meet company KPIs
  • Coordinating with key stakeholders to plan and execute transport orders efficiently
  • Performing regular site observations in collaboration with hauliers
  • Conducting haulier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements

Required skills and qualifications include:

Education:

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Transport or a relevant field (NITEC / Higher NITEC holders welcome)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in export, import and general trucking order process flow
  • Highly organized, structured and meticulous
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Power BI)
  • Knowledge of SAP
