Procurement Strategist

Serve as a key member of the procurement team.

The Procurement Strategist will play a pivotal role in overseeing the procurement function, system, policies and processes. The primary responsibility includes ensuring the procurement outcomes meet organisational needs and compliance to corporate guidelines when executing procurement transactions.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisation's objectives.
  • Oversee the procurement function and staff supervision.
  • Review purchase requests to ensure optimal outcome and adherence to corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Support users in their sourcing, evaluation, approval, contracting and system queries.
  • Ensure smooth and effective collaboration across the organisation.
  • Analyse spend data and provide procurement reports to improve procurement outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Min. Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in any fields.
  • Min. 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement process, guidelines and practices.
  • Familiar with Group Procurement Function setup supporting multiple buying entities under the Group.
  • Familiar with Government procurement guidelines will be an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in e-procurement software.
  • Hands-on, excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage project, mitigate risks, and drive process improvements.
  • Accounting knowledge and data analytics experience will be an advantage.
