Job Description

As a Resident Doctor, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing medical conditions encountered in general practice. This includes treating tuberculosis and respiratory diseases.

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations for various purposes such as employment, overseas visa applications, and statutory requirements.
  • Perform general health screenings and prepare detailed medical reports.
  • Interpret and report results from diagnostic procedures including audiograms, lung function tests, and electrocardiograms.

You will also participate in public health initiatives like educational talks, health promotion events, and awareness campaigns. Additionally, you will engage in community outreach activities through mobile clinics and home visits.

Addressing client and patient feedback or complaints is essential in this role. You will also undertake administrative responsibilities for the medical centre when required.

Collaborating with specialists, hospitals, and fellow general practitioners to deliver comprehensive care is a key aspect of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess an MBBS qualification recognized for full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities are crucial for success in this position.
  • Highly organized individuals with excellent reporting skills are preferred.
  • Proficiency in research and skilled medical writing are valuable assets in this role.
