About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Research Scientist to join our team at the Singapore Institute of Technology. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for leading and managing AI projects that integrate modern technologies aimed at industry-relevant applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research Execution and Management: Develop and lead AI projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation in industry-relevant domains.
  • Collaboration and Networking: Work closely with NVIDIA and SIT researchers to foster technological exchange and innovation, build partnerships with industry stakeholders to align research projects with market needs, and participate in networking events to enhance the visibility and impact of research outcomes.
  • Publication and Dissemination: Produce high-quality research publications for academic conferences/journals and industry white papers, present findings at international conferences, workshops, and industry forums.
  • Mentoring and Leadership: Mentor graduate students and junior researchers, promoting skill development and professional growth, and lead by example in fostering a culture of academic excellence and integrity.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science or related field: Required; preference given to candidates with expertise in Large Language Models and fine-tuning/customization of AI models.
  • Proven record of AI research and applications: Demonstrated by publications, patents, or software developments.
  • Strong technical proficiency: In AI modeling, computational tools, and programming languages relevant to AI research (e.g., Python, CUDA).

Competencies and Skills

  • Experience working in collaborative environments: Especially involving industry and academia.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams: Strong project management skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills: Capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.

Estimated Salary: SGD 120,000 - 180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
