Service Technician Job Description

Cummins Sales and Service Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in Tuas, Singapore. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Cummins products, primarily in Automotive, Industrial, and Marine applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair engines at customer sites
  • Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on engine and related components
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets and timesheets
  • Identify additional service opportunities with customers
  • Complete training in line with skill and business requirements
  • Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained engine technician or vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Good to have work background in mechanical or electrical or both
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience preferred
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience
  • Preferably with Singapore Class 3 or above driving license
  • Able to write and speak in English language
