Forensic Services Consultant

Position Overview
This position is centered around overseeing and enhancing compliance-oriented assessments, investigations, and intricate problem-solving projects utilizing forensic accounting, business intelligence, and technological solutions throughout the Asia region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive investigations that necessitate data analysis, tracing of funds flow, process evaluations, review of financial and non-financial documents, examination of electronic data, and quantification of losses.
- Execute effective confrontational and information-gathering interviews during factual investigations or compliance evaluations.
- Perform extensive public domain research relevant to engagements.
- Collaborate efficiently with data analytics, business intelligence, and technology teams.
- Compose well-structured reports and proposals in professional English.
- Manage projects ensuring strict quality control and exceptional service delivery.
- Deliver projects effectively while adhering to budget constraints.
- Proactively manage client expectations and provide regular updates.
- Ensure the successful conclusion of projects, including prompt invoicing.
- Guide junior team members from technical, professional, or project management perspectives.
- Represent Control Risks at events and business development functions to enhance the company's profile in the South East Asia region.
- Assist in formulating strategies and business plans to elevate Control Risks' reputation with existing and prospective clients in the South East Asia region.
- Identify opportunities to distinguish Control Risks' services by integrating crisis management, business intelligence, and political and country risk methodologies from other practice areas.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Knowledge and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional consulting experience and/or experience in an in-house compliance/investigations role.
- Understanding of the complexities involved in conducting compliance investigations within the Asia region.
- Proven experience operating in a commercial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful project management and the ability to secure repeat business from clients.
- Experience in building effective and robust client relationships.
- Commercial experience across the Asia region, with an understanding of its specific characteristics regarding corporate investigation services.
Essential Skills
- Strong technical skills in forensic accounting, compliance reviews, interviewing, and investigative processes.
- Advanced capabilities in research, business intelligence, analysis, and report writing.
- Extensive experience in consulting or commercial environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Methodical approach with strong project management abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Fluency in English (spoken, written, reading).
- Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.
Preferred Skills
- Accounting designation (CPA or ACCA) is advantageous.
