We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead our public affairs efforts in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Singapore's political system and institutions, as well as experience working with policymakers and stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesThe Public Affairs Director will be responsible for leading foodpanda Singapore's public policy and advocacy strategy in partnership with business verticals, industry associations, and other stakeholders. This includes representing foodpanda Singapore in engagements with government regulators and other stakeholders, driving collaboration opportunities in sustainability topics, and developing supporting materials for advocacy and engagements.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for tracking and evaluating regulatory issues that may impact foodpanda's business objectives and verticals, proactively shaping the regulatory landscape where necessary. Additionally, they will build thought leadership with government agencies, key opinion leaders, or credible organizations, and serve as a strong partner for foodpanda Singapore's senior leadership and internal teams.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- 8-12 years of demonstrated experience managing public policy and/or government relations and advocacy work
- Experience working and engaging with policymakers, civil society, and non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of Singapore's political system, environment, and institutions
- Ability to exercise strong judgment and problem-solving skills, creativity, and ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional, multi-cultural environment
- Experience in policy work for a multinational corporation or government preferred
We offer a competitive salary of SGD 120,000 - SGD 180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including medical insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
