Fire Protection Specialist Job Description

This role involves designing and developing comprehensive fire protection systems for various building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial properties. As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety of people and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
  • Provide expert advice on fire protection system integration and performance.
  • Evaluate fire protection designs to ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to integrate fire protection systems into overall building designs.
  • Perform technical analysis and simulations to validate fire protection system performance.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation and maintain accurate records of all fire protection system designs and modifications.
  • Oversee the testing, inspection, and commissioning of fire protection systems.
  • Solve complex technical issues related to fire protection systems.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of fire protection principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
