Job Title: Technical Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Superintendent to join our team at Novo Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and analyze regular reports from vessels assigned to you, ensuring timely and accurate filing in a structured approach.
  • Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular data analysis of costs, PMS, and other KPI factors to assess the health of the ship and optimize its performance.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of data fed into the Ship Manager system by crew onboard the vessels.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic work plan and action list with the vessel's command, ensuring compliance with the Owner's policy and regular reporting on progress.
  • Visit vessels as required, assessing their general condition, repairs, maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection, and any necessary actions.
  • Discuss the work plan, running costs, spares, and stores with the Ship's Command, reporting on any issues of concern.
  • Prepare technical specifications for dockings and pre-purchase inspections in the Asia region.
  • Assist in conducting technical analysis for new purchases.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity on Bulk Carriers.
  • Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with a minimum of sailing experience on Bulk Carriers.
  • Prior experience in dry docking and technical management is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of PMS and SMS systems is required.
