**Job Title:** Laser Surface Treatment SpecialistAbout the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Laser Surface Treatment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser cladding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, operate and maintain laser cladding equipment to achieve high-quality surface treatments.
  • Clean and pre-treat surfaces to ensure effective bonding.
  • Select appropriate cladding materials and parameters based on job requirements.
  • Apply laser cladding techniques to repair and enhance components, following work instructions and best practices.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure the integrity and consistency of treated surfaces.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including consumable usage and process parameters.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laser cladding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • NITEC certification in Welding or a related field is required.
  • Experience with laser cladding or similar advanced welding techniques is essential.
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties, as well as proficiency in operating laser cladding machinery and related tools, are highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
