The Middle Office plays a crucial role in supporting the Global Markets business by performing Transaction Control and Product Control activities. As a key member of this team, you will partner with trading desks on operational and settlement related matters while maintaining a second line of defense as a core control function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with trading teams to resolve operational and settlement issues.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of front-to-back trade flows and risk management principles.
  • Produce daily end-of-day flash profit and loss statements and verify market data integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve position and trade exceptions through daily reconciliations.
  • Manage lifecycle events for credit products such as bond defaults, credit events, and succession events.
  • Develop a network across multiple departments within the firm to streamline front-to-back processes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in trade support within banking or financial services.
  • Experience working within a bank or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with structured notes, credit derivatives, fixed income, and debt capital markets issuances.
  • Ability to critically evaluate processes, identify control gaps, and implement improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with senior stakeholders and business.
