MINDS is a leading charity in Singapore that provides care and support services for persons with intellectual disabilities.

As a Life Coach, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to live independently and enhance their quality of life.

You will work closely with caregivers and individuals to discuss future care plans and build up their support network with the help of social workers and community partners.

You will also provide training, intervention, and assistance to individuals to enhance their community living and independent living skills.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Providing client training and life coaching skills to help clients manage their community living needs and achieve goals set in care plans.
  • Guiding clients on social support services available at other organisations.
  • Responding to challenging behaviours of clients.
  • Recommending measures to mitigate risk to clients.

Developing training materials, administering future care plans, and ensuring proper documentation are also essential aspects of this role.

To succeed, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and able to participate in on-site and off-site activities.

A diploma in a relevant field such as disability studies or special education will be an advantage.
