Job Overview

The Reliability Lead will collaborate with senior management to develop strategies for improving application and system reliability. This role will also oversee the reliability team and ensure that existing site reliability engineering initiatives are on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve application and system reliability
  • Manage the reliability team and ensure that existing initiatives are on track
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and service management teams to improve application reliability
  • Identify and implement procedures, tools, and scripts to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Develop and maintain high-availability, high-performance infrastructure
  • Monitor and analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other highly technical discipline
  • Ability to program with one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C#, and JavaScript
  • Experience with infrastructure technologies like Operating Systems, networking, storage, and virtualization
  • Familiarity with testing automation tools
  • Proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
  • Previous success in software engineering
  • Specialize in one or two of the following: infrastructure automation, load balancing, high availability architecture, monitoring and metrics, logging infrastructure, or disaster recovery and high availability strategy
