Job Title: Consumer Science Intern

Haleon is a world-leading consumer health company that is shaping the future of everyday health for billions of people. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Consumer Science Intern to join our R&D team in Singapore.

About the Role:

The Consumer Science Intern will assist the Consumer Science and Product Experience (CSPX) Community of Practice (COP) R&D team in delivering strategic and future innovation programs for Haleon Consumer Health R&D. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the CSPX COP Lead and collaborate with other functions of Commercial, Innovation, Manufacturing, Medical, Regulatory, Insights, and R&D scientists in the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the CSPX COP team in undertaking consumer research, data analysis, and innovation workshops.
  • Evaluate and summarize consumer and sensory data for communication and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation, planning, and conduct of consumer studies in CH R&D.
  • Coordinate with other functions to prepare for consumer research studies.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation of relevant studies following internal SOPs and guidelines.
Learning Outcomes:
  • Gain a high-level overview of the R&D/Innovation processes and activities and its position in the product lifecycle.
  • Understand the importance of consumer and sensory sciences in product development and market success.
  • Understand the relevance and applications of fundamental science/technical knowledge to industry/product development.
Requirements:
  • Penultimate students majoring in Food Science, Life Science, or similar disciplines with working knowledge of data science (AI/machine learning/coding) preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Deadline-driven, flexible with self-reliance to work in an empowered environment.
  • Awareness and ability to work within culturally diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think, and work independently, and problem-solve.
  • Strong drive for performance and attention to details.
  • A keen interest in consumer healthcare science, product, and development, and a passion for knowledge.
