Leadership Position - Tax Strategy Director

We are seeking a highly skilled tax strategy director to lead our team in developing and implementing tax planning strategies across the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and group restructuring.

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in international and local tax matters including transfer pricing, GST, VAT, and withholding tax. They must ensure full compliance with regional tax regulations.
  • This position involves analyzing and advising on the tax implications of cross-border transactions, including hotel management contracts, licensing agreements, and treasury arrangements.
  • The tax strategy director will be responsible for coordinating transfer pricing documentation and ensuring alignment with global policies.
  • They will also lead the resolution of tax audits and disputes across jurisdictions, including appeals where necessary.
  • Collaboration with regional finance teams, legal, procurement, and treasury departments, as well as external advisors and tax authorities is essential.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification is required.
  • At least 15 years of experience in international tax planning, M&A, transfer pricing, and GST across Asia Pacific is mandatory.
  • A proven track record in managing complex tax structures and leading cross-functional teams is necessary.
