Job Title: Sheet Metal Manufacturing Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for calculating the base manufacturing cost for all new projects.

  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to obtain quotes from suppliers and ensure accurate costing.
  • Update and maintain RFQ Logs to track project progress.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding process capabilities and material availability.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to ensure competitive product pricing.
  • Recommend design changes to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or Degree in an Engineering field.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • 2-5 years' experience in cost estimation within the sheet metal industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills.
