Senior Category Manager

The role of Senior Category Manager is pivotal in leading and governing procurement activities, ensuring optimal supply chain performance across various IT spend categories. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills to develop robust market analyses and benchmarking processes to inform category strategies. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive understanding of Eastspring Investments' policies and procedures related to Procurement and Third Party Management to ensure adherence and documentation during vendor selection, contracting, and due diligence activities.
2. Lead category governance by participating in category forums to build a cohesive procurement team and drive implementation of category strategies across the organization.
3. Execute strategic sourcing projects to select and negotiate with vendors for quality, service, delivery, risk, and cost optimization.
4. Develop strategies for competitive bidding and best value for Eastspring Investments, identifying opportunities for eAuctions and maintaining a robust project pipeline.
5. Embed ESG assessment frameworks for onboarding suppliers and ongoing engagement, driving awareness of ESG programs and collaborating with suppliers on sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree at a minimum.
2. 5-10 years relevant procurement experience.
3. Excellent organizational, analytical, time management, and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong influencing and persuasive talents, ability to work independently with limited supervision, and high integrity and ethics.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience using procure-to-pay systems, ideally Coupa.
