Service Coordinator Role Overview

The role of a service coordinator is pivotal in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, creating an exceptional customer experience and fostering long-term partnerships. This position plays a crucial role in planning field service activities and coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and success.

Job Responsibilities
  • Place customer purchase orders onto relevant systems.
  • Plan and manage the daily work schedules of service engineers.
  • Manage follow-up actions from service reports.
  • Ensure jobs are executed according to priority in collaboration with team managers.
  • Provide support and input on complex quotations for field service to meet business targets.
  • Monitor order backlogs and credit queries.
  • Administer performance agreements closely with sales teams.
  • Track special tools, certifications and vaccinations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a service coordination, technical support or operations role.
  • Proficiency in using IT tools, MS365 environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and job tracking processes.
  • Strong proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages like Malay or Chinese is an asset.
  • Understanding of MNC standards for compliance, sustainability and customer service excellence.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
