Marine Equipment Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Equipment Specialist to join our team.

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing marine equipment, particularly water & waste management systems and propulsion systems for vessels.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and maintain a positive attitude towards work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, repair, and test marine equipment installed in vessels
  • Advise customers on the status of works and other equipment requiring repair and service
  • Liaise with customers' representatives and office coordinators on assigned tasks
  • Maintain cordial working relationships with all levels of personnel during task execution
  • Prepare clear and precise service/test reports for completed work
  • Provide technical support to sales teams when necessary
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Technical Certificates in electronics/mechatronics or minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience in service and repair of Navigation & Communication systems in marine/offshore environments
  • Understanding of plumbing, electronics, and IT
  • Able to work at any time of day and respond to calls at short notice
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Positive and responsible attitude towards work
