Optometrist Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team in providing high-quality eye care services to patients. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for assessing the visual functions of patients and conducting various tests and examinations to diagnose and treat eye conditions.

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background in Optometry and relevant work experience. They should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead and supervise junior staff members. Additionally, they should have a keen interest in continuous learning and professional development.

This role involves a range of tasks, including:

  • Assessing patients' visual functions and conducting refraction tests;
  • Performing ultrasounds and other diagnostic tests;
  • Developing treatment plans and recommending corrective measures;
  • Leading and supervising junior staff members;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports.

Tech Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification;
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in Optometry (for Junior Optometrist);
  • Ability to handle various equipment involved in visual assessment;
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to portray pleasant appearance with acceptable grooming standards.
