Job Title: Senior Manager/Associate Director, Asian Equities

We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to join our team as a senior member of the Asian Equities group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on Asian equity markets, identifying investment opportunities, and developing actionable recommendations for our portfolio managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fundamental and industry research on Asian equities, including company analysis, market trends, and economic indicators.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company management, competitors, suppliers, customers, and industry contacts to gather information and insights.
  • Generate high-quality investment ideas that can outperform various benchmarks, with a focus on stock selection and portfolio optimization.
  • Maintain coverage of good quality stocks with investment ratings, target prices, and reports, as well as shadow coverage of other stocks.
  • Provide general market views and sector-specific insights to support our investment decisions.
  • Attend investment-related meetings and present research findings and recommendations as required.
Requirements:
  • Recognized degree or CFA designation is preferred.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in advisory, research, or investment management roles within banking, brokerage, asset management, or fund house environments.
  • Self-starter with initiative, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills, ability to construct and articulate a concise investment thesis, and pitch recommendations to senior professionals.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with a solid understanding of valuation techniques.
