The role of a Physical Design Engineer is pivotal in the development of chips within the semiconductor industry.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead block and chip level physical design from netlist to GDSII, encompassing floorplanning, auto placement and routing, PPA push, and signoff tasks including physical verification, static timing analysis, and IREM.
- Participate in new process introduction, chip tapeout, mass production, packaging, testing, quality control, and other duties.
- Contribute to project plan evaluation and initiation preparation.
This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. Key skills include proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Perl, Python), mainstream backend tools, and basic backend concepts.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields such as microelectronics or computer science, combined with over two years of experience working on advanced processes like 7nm/5nm/3nm technologies.
Prioritization of teamwork, responsibility, good communication skills, and fluency in English reading and writing abilities are also essential.
