Job Title: Senior Pharmacy Technician

The role of a senior pharmacy technician is to play a crucial part in ensuring that medications are dispensed accurately and efficiently. This includes managing the inventory of cardiovascular drugs, which involves ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.

The senior pharmacy technician will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Dispensing medication to patients
  • Managing the central inventory of cardiovascular drugs
  • Inter-clinic transfer of medications and requests from other clinic locations
  • Maintaining lists of key pharmaceutical contacts and reviewing bonus tier schemes
  • Providing regular updates to directors on medication purchases and monthly reporting on stock movement and purchases
  • Working with the nursing team to oversee drug stock takes and discrepancies

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a clinical or hospital environment
  • Experience in inventory management

A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong organizational abilities.
