Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coordinator to join our team at Hapag-Lloyd AG. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing various operational activities related to vessel port stays, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure seamless cooperation with partners, vendors, and cross-departmental teams to organize pre-vessel arrival actions and documentation.
  • Develop reports for QSC/Area stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Monitor and track the ETA of incoming vessels, ensuring timely updates and notifications.
  • Arrange local port formalities, adhering to regulatory requirements and facilitating efficient vessel operations.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure the successful completion of tasks and coordinate post-vessel departure communication.
  • Provide just-in-time services provision to the highest standards, meeting cultural expectations.
  • Create and approve work orders for vessel operations activities, maintaining proper documentation and authorization.
  • Verify actual Vessel Departure (Mainliners, including partner and 3rd party mainline vessels).
  • Manage husbandry services for HL operated vessels (where not done by husbandry agent).
  • Upload TDR / TPFREP reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Estimate costs for special cargo, such as break bulk and out-of-gauge shipments, ensuring accurate pricing and cost calculations.
  • Supervise and support Cost Control staff in verifying and analyzing stevedoring, terminal, and port service invoices for accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marine studies, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, or experience as a Nautical Officer.
  • Proven experience in port and terminal management, focusing on berth planning, port operations, and hub management.
  • Strong knowledge of port operations, vessel scheduling, and terminal activities.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to develop and implement effective plans and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive operational improvements.
  • Familiarity with port and terminal management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
About the Role
