Community Engagement Role

About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Executive. As a key member of our public education and community engagement team, you will be responsible for planning and executing community activities and events that increase public awareness and education on hospice and palliative care in Singapore.

You will support the Manager, Public Education and Community Engagement in forming partnerships with stakeholders to facilitate concerted efforts and promote a culture of community engagement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning: Plan and execute community activities and events such as exhibitions, conferences, roadshows, and fundraising events that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Partnership Management: Manage partnerships with stakeholders and vendors to ensure timelines, standards, and compliance are met.
  • Volunteer Deployment: Deploy and brief volunteers for community events and outreach programs.
  • Marketing Materials: Develop marketing materials for online and offline dissemination, promoting events and generating publicity.
  • Procurement: Source quotations/tender procurement and vendor management.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships and communication channels with partners and members of the public by providing timely information and services.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure management of confidential information and maintain contact databases.
  • Committee Participation: Participate in committees or work groups when required.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimally a Degree Holder in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Purpose: Desire to serve the hospice and palliative care community.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain strong partner relationships.
  • Resourcefulness: Resourceful and able to work with internal and external stakeholders to bring about a sense of community towards achieving common goals.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organisational and event management skills with an eye for details.
