Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Director to lead our Wholesale Business Development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving profitable and sustainable market growth within assigned Field Accounts and Key Accounts.

About the Role

The Senior Sales Director will oversee digital and analytics functions within the wholesale team, establishing strong relationships with key customer decision-makers and making the company their preferred partners.

You will effectively apply sales strategies, policies, and best practices to the Field Sales business segment, motivating the sales team and allocating resources, negotiating, implementing, and tracking action plans.

  • To achieve profitable and sustainable market growth within assigned Field Accounts and Key Accounts, while aligning with adidas brand image & strategy and ensuring target achievement.
  • To oversee digital and analytics functions within wholesale team

In this role, you will also ensure a win-win when negotiating trade terms for both adidas and Field Sales customers, guarantee reliable and efficient supply of products to customers, and respond to customer needs and requests while minimizing customer complaints.

You will pursue additional business opportunities by supporting your team and applying a strategic mid-long-term approach within the accounts.

  • Internally represent the assigned field and key account towards all functions and vice versa. Manage all interfaces
    • Frequently address the main account requirements across functions
    • Proactively coordinate/facilitate meetings with other functions and accounts
  • Develop the field and key accounts strategies
    • Ensure quarterly updates of strategic account initiatives
    • Present strategic initiatives for local management team
    • Establish regular account visit schedule
  • Sell-in and agree on sell-through support
    • Proactively lead the alignment of the sell in/out process across internal functions
  • Continue monitoring the sell-through and the order book as well as reliable and cost-efficient supply for the field and key accounts
    • Proactively facilitate meeting/business reviews with designated operations team and Customer Service
    • Conduct and share sell-through information from account
  • Controlling:
  • Measure progress on assigned account's KPIs
  • Monitor and report the market trends and competitors in the area
  • Provide realistic business plans and forecasts that are aligned with the company's longer-range plan
  • Monitor trade inventory and propose action plans from delivery to sell-out

Requirements
  • Professional Background/Experience:
  • Functional: Preferably 3 years in Sales or KA Management
  • Industry: Apparel/Fashion/Footwear or FMCG
  • Leadership: Good leadership skill
  • Exposure: Sports, marketing, account management
  • Education:
    • University degree in Business with sales/commercial focus
  • IT:
    • Outlook: Basic
    • Word: Advanced

    • Powerpoint: Advanced
  • Language Skills:
    • English: Advanced
    • Local Language: Fluent
Salary

$90,000 - $120,000 per year (dependent on experience)
