About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our Support team at Real-Time Innovations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, working closely with our development and platform teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities
  • Own and resolve support cases from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective solutions for our customers.
  • Collaborate with our development team to identify and implement improvements to our products, leveraging customer feedback to drive innovation.
  • Triage, debug, and write code to resolve customer issues, including bug fixes, customer use case implementations, and example code.
  • Investigate and understand customer issues, working closely with our development and platform teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Develop creative solutions to customer problems, including bug fixing and writing test cases based on customer use cases.
  • Create, test, and ship engineering builds and patch releases.
  • Contribute to our knowledge base by writing best practices and solutions, ensuring our team stays up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, with a focus on distributed systems, peer-to-peer networks, operating systems, and computer networking.
  • Excellent debugging skills in a wide range of technologies, including networking protocols, operating systems, and programming languages.
  • Experience writing and debugging code in C, C++, and/or Java, with a strong understanding of software development principles.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, with a strong desire to master new skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in Chinese verbal communication skills, with Japanese communication skills (both verbal and written) being a plus.
