This role is focused on harbour craft management and operations coordination.

The Operations Executive coordinates harbour craft deployment, cargo movement, crew and vessel support, client communication, documentation, and general operations. They must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vessel Deployment & Scheduling: Assist in arranging harbour craft deployment based on client orders and agent instructions, coordinate sailing schedules, and ensure vessel readiness and timely reporting.">
  • Cargo & Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to confirm cargo details, ensure accurate loading arrangements, and monitor loading operations.">
  • Crew & Vessel Support: Communicate deployment details to boatmen, provide operational support to crew during day-to-day assignments, and report any operational issues or incidents.">
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Relay operational updates between clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and assist Ops Manager in managing client expectations and job confirmations.">
  • Documentation & Reporting: Submit documents to the relevant authorities when necessary, record vessel deployment details, cargo information, and job completion status, and maintain proper photo evidence and reports.">
  • General Operations Support: Assist in daily operational tasks, provide backup support for urgent or ad-hoc assignments as directed, and maintain office-based with occasional visits to jetty/wharf when required.">

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level / Diploma in Maritime, Logistics, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).">
  • Prior experience in shipping, logistics, or vessel operations is an advantage but not required — training will be provided.">
  • Basic knowledge of shipping terms and port operations will be an added plus.">

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong coordination and organizational skills, with attention to detail.">
  • Good communication skills (spoken and written English; other local languages/dialects an advantage).">
  • Ability to converse in additional languages (e.g. Malay) will be an advantage when liaising with crew and suppliers.">
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.">
  • Responsible, meticulous about details, reliable, proactive in following up on tasks.">
  • Has a great attitude and does not take criticism too seriously.">
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email, WhatsApp, Wechat for operations updates).">

  • Shift-based role: Day shift (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM), night shift (6:00 PM – 9:00 AM), shifts rotate weekly among the team.">
