Job Title

As a Research Engineer in our Machine Learning Training System team, you will be responsible for researching and developing cutting-edge machine learning systems. This role involves designing and implementing novel architectures, management frameworks, and scheduling algorithms to improve the efficiency and stability of large-scale distributed training jobs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement machine learning system components, including heterogeneous computing architecture, management, scheduling, and monitoring;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system and AI algorithms and hardware for machine learning (GPU, ASIC);
  • Develop general-purpose training framework features and model-specific optimizations (e.g., LLM, diffusion models);
  • Improve the performance and scalability of large-scale distributed training jobs;
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a strong background in distributed and parallel computing principles;
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and platforms, including TensorFlow, JAX, and PyTorch;
  • Experience with GPU and/or ASIC architecture and programming languages such as C/C++, CUDA, and Python;
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and storage technologies;
