The Production Engineering team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of product delivery. We're seeking a highly skilled professional to immerse themselves in a data-rich environment where their expertise will directly influence the enhancement of developer workflows.

Responsibilities include taking end-to-end ownership of Supply infrastructure, architecting and building large-scale distributed systems, and improving tooling and infrastructure to enable shipping multiple times a day. Additionally, you'll contribute to an engineering excellence culture through state-of-the-art tools and risk-driven testing.

  • Taking end-to-end ownership of Supply infrastructure.
  • Architecting and building large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems serving millions of requests per second.
  • Improving tooling and infrastructure to enable shipping multiple times a day with a quantified impact on millions of users and revenue.
  • Contributing to an engineering excellence culture through state-of-the-art tools and risk-driven testing.
  • Becoming an expert in cutting-edge open-source technologies that maximize software development velocity.
  • Sharing L1 on-call rotation with other members of the Production Engineering team for systems owned and managed by the team.
  • Ensuring minimal Day-2 operations by focusing on automation, efficient management, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Mentoring and sharing knowledge with other team members.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Master's degree in Computer Science with equivalent experience.
  • A strong commitment to quality and perfection with the ability to balance these values with the need to ship products on time.
  • Strong understanding of computer architectures, system design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Professional experience in tackling complex programming challenges preferably but not restricted to Golang.
  • Experience using Kubernetes and containerized workloads such as bootstrapping Kubernetes infrastructure and writing tooling for the Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in building monitoring solutions for modern microservice architectures.
  • Knowledge of profiling and debugging distributed microservices.
  • Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for supporting colleagues and commitment to the team's success.
  • Fluent in English with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
