Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forensics Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in open-source investigations, cloud sources and services to aid in forensic examinations and criminal investigations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, with relevant knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: cloud technologies, open-source investigation techniques, programming languages such as Python, network and log file forensics, cybersecurity best practices, project management using agile methodology, and UI/UX principles.

The selected candidate will be expected to develop platforms, tools, algorithms, and techniques for collecting, analyzing and interpreting digital evidence from diverse sources. They will also collaborate with forensic examiners and investigators to ensure that the tools and techniques meet their needs.

In addition, the successful candidate will oversee and liaise with vendors to execute and evaluate proof of concept projects. They will also stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in digital forensics, cloud platforms and related fields.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
