**Corporate Innovation R&D Lead – Emerging Tech Job Opportunity**

We are seeking an exceptional professional to drive open innovation initiatives and identify breakthrough technologies and business models.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Translating corporate strategy into innovation roadmaps and thematic priorities.
  • Identifying, evaluating and onboarding startups, scaleups and partners aligned with strategic technologies and business priorities.
  • Designing and implementing open calls, hackathons, etc. and establishing governance processes, templates/tools to monitor progress, risks and deliverables.
  • Maintaining a portfolio of innovation projects and partners.
  • Managing the end-to-end innovation funnel – from idea sourcing, evaluation to POC/Pilot deployment.

The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in innovation, R&D, product development or startup collaboration, ideally within automotive, mobility or tech sectors.

The requirements include:

  • Degree or related experience in innovation, R&D, product development or startup collaboration, ideally within automotive, mobility or tech sectors.
  • Experience in managing open innovation programs or startup accelerators.
  • Familiarity with innovation ecosystems (startups, VCs, academia) around Asia Region.
  • Ability to evaluate technical and commercial viability of emerging technologies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in agile and lean innovation methods.
  • Strong understanding of future mobility trends (EVs, ADAS, AI, sustainability).
  • Good business acumen and strong communication ability to influence across levels.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in dynamic, multicultural environments.
  • Flexibility to travel to Southeast Asia Region.

Additional preferred skills include:

  • Technical background in areas such as electrification, ADAS, AI/ML, IoT/Connected Device, Mobility data ecosystem, Sustainability, etc.
  • Capability to coach teams on innovation practices.
