Job Title: Therapeutic Communication Specialist

We are seeking dynamic Therapeutic Communication Specialists to join our multidisciplinary team of Healthcare Professionals, working together to empower children and youth with physical disabilities to reach their full potential.

Our Community Integration Service (CIS) aims to support the integration of clients into schools and community by providing holistic development skills and promoting supportive environments in collaboration with families, educators, and community partners.

  • Assess client needs and formulate individualised therapy programmes;
  • Liaise with various disciplines involved in rehabilitative treatment process;
  • Work independently and provide intervention sessions at home;
  • Refer clients to specialists for consultation and intervention;
  • Facilitate discussions with caregivers and educators;
  • Provide group activities for clients;
  • Collaborate closely with HP team delivering service to clients; and
  • May assume AHPC supervisory function for senior therapists.

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree/master in Speech & Language Pathology from listed qualification websites;
  • Fully registered therapist with Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore;
  • Prior experience working with paediatric groups preferred;
  • Senior role applicants should have at least 5 years direct experience; and
  • Able to work in a community-based setting as a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs and develop tailored therapy plans;
  • Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders;
  • Deliver high-quality interventions in home settings;
  • Ensure seamless referrals to specialist services when required;
  • Cultivate strong relationships with caregivers and educators;
  • Facilitate engaging group activities for clients;
  • Collaborate with HP colleagues to deliver exceptional client services;
  • Support senior therapists in leadership roles.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or master's in Speech & Language Pathology from recognised institutions;
  • Current registration with Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore;
  • Desirable: prior experience working with paediatric populations;
  • Senior applicants must possess at least 5 years of direct experience;
  • Able to work collaboratively within a community-based environment.
