Job Title: Workplace Safety and Health Officer

Crystal Offshore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workplace Safety and Health Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Compliance: Oversee the implementation of Workplace Safety and Health regulations and statutory requirements across all operations.
  • Permit and Risk Assessment: Scrutinize and sign permits, and prepare risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Training and Development: Conduct daily morning toolbox meetings, plan training and courses for workers, and update safety records.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct monthly inspections of Fire Extinguishers, Lifting gears, and Machineries, and conduct safety audits to identify and rectify safety violations.
  • Government Liaison: Liaise with government agencies, such as MOM and NEA, for safety matters.
  • Safety Culture: Inculcate a safe working environment and promote a positive safety culture across all departments.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate and report all incidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Contractor Management: Source and liaise with authorized contractors to calibrate portable safety equipment, and conduct documentation checks for contractors working in our yard and equipment.
  • Safety Induction: Conduct safety inductions for visitors, contractors, and clients.
  • Internal Auditor: Act as an internal ISO auditor for the organization.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree holder with at least 5 years of working experience in Workplace Safety and Health in the Marine Shipbuilding industry.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Well-versed in local Workplace Safety and Health legislations and other regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Certifications: Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO), Fire Safety Manager (FSM), and certified Confine Space Trainer.
  • ISO Auditor Certification: Possessed ISO Auditor Certification and qualifications.
  • Language Skills: Good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Nationality: Only Singaporeans may apply.
  • Personal Qualities: Dynamic, self-motivated, able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
