Workplace Safety Specialist
Job Description:
The Workplace Safety Specialist will be responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace safety and health policies to ensure compliance. This includes conducting regular WSH inspections, follow-up actions, and troubleshooting site HSSE issues.
This role involves coordinating safety briefings, inductions, training, and fire evacuation drills. The Specialist will also prepare Safe Work Procedures, publish in-house safety news, and maintain records of safety induction and training.
Additionally, the Workplace Safety Specialist will lead emergency response teams and participate in the Safety Committee. They will promote a safe work environment through daily toolbox meetings and weekly mass toolbox talks.
Finally, the Specialist will generate and review relevant safety documents as pre-site requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also be able to analyze and resolve complex problems.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, as well as proficiency in preparing reports and presentations. Knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations and standards is also essential.
