Job Summary

Mizuho Bank, a subsidiary of the Japan-based Mizuho FG, Inc., is a leading financial services company with a global presence. We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Director to drive our security transformation agenda in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Section Head to develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
  • Manage regional transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective execution.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, processes, and procedures, as well as reportable metrics.
  • Select and implement technologies that align with the bank's cyber security program and control objectives.
  • Build and operate technologies necessary to maintain the bank's cyber security program.
  • Work with third-party vendors to design, deploy, maintain, and operate the bank's security solutions.
  • Establish and lead cybersecurity engineering, maintenance, and operational teams.
  • Configure and troubleshoot the bank's security systems.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's or above degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in hands-on cybersecurity and project management roles.
  • Strong understanding of various cyber security technologies addressing identity, data, application, endpoint, and infrastructure protection.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying security and risk frameworks, such as NIST, Mitre ATT&CK, Mitre DEFEND, and ISO27K.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying technical solutions to meet regulatory requirements stipulated by regional authorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in building cybersecurity teams in engineering and/or operations.
  • Program and project management skills.
  • Broad knowledge across all facets of modern cybersecurity programs, including current and emerging trends and threats.
  • Pro-active with multitasking capabilities, comfortable working in both hands-on and leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated track records of efficient, scaled delivery with small teams, directly taking on and providing deliverables with limited resources.
  • Ability to articulate cyber risks to senior leadership within the context of corporate strategy and threat environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including demonstrated ability to understand broad IT topics outside of cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Scripting and automation is an advantage.
  • Professional certificates are an advantage, including technology-agnostic and technology-specific certifications.
