Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Associate Counsellor to join our dynamic team at The Relationship Room LLP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in relationship and couples therapy, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and couples navigate challenges and enhance their relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and joint counselling sessions for individuals and couples;
  • Collaborate with clients to identify goals and create treatment plans;
  • Maintain up-to-date and confidential client records;
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in couples therapy;
  • Participate and present cases at individual and group supervision sessions organised by The Relationship Room LLP.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counselling or equivalent certification recognised by SAC;
  • Three or more years of experience in counselling (preferably with relevant clinical experience in couples therapy);
  • Possess knowledge and skills either in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) or/and the Gottman Method;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong commitment to ethical and culturally sensitive practice;
  • Able to commit at least two days including evenings per week for counselling.
