Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to take on a leadership role within our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to guide and support other quantity surveyors, while still being hands-on in their work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and planning all key QS tasks, from quotation to claim, and working closely with sales and projects to ensure scope and costing are aligned. They will also guide and support other QSs to stay clear and consistent, improve simple tracking tools, and handle major VOs and client-side coordination where needed.

Mentoring others is a crucial aspect of this role, and the ideal candidate will be able to guide experienced QSs without needing to act like a boss. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as being organised, reliable, and taking ownership of tasks.

This is a chance to grow into a QS Manager role, with support from leadership and a team that is ready to follow the right lead. We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive impact and contribute to the success of our team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years QS experience in construction, steel, or fabrication
  • Strong in quotation prep, VO handling, and cost tracking
  • Able to guide experienced QSs without needing to act like a boss
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Organised, reliable, and takes ownership of tasks
