Embedded Software Developer - Power Electronics Control Specialist

Job Title: Embedded System Specialist for Power Electronics Applications. We are seeking an expert in developing and improving software applications for motor drive power electronics control design and testing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating complex real-time embedded firmware systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of software activities.

Candidates will work with senior engineers to translate requirements into design and implement digital filtering and control systems, such as proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controllers.

We are looking for a professional who is well-versed in C, C++ programming and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop embedded software and digital control algorithms for 3-phase switching power converters in the 20-50kW power range.
  • Apply knowledge of traditional and modern power electronic technologies, including Inverter technology for variable speed motor drive (MOSFET, rectifiers, and gate driver PWM technologies).
  • Utilize power electronics and motor control design simulation tools and hardware/software interfacing and design logics.
  • Work on digital filtering and control systems, such as PID controllers.
  • Apply LabVIEW programming and experience in the MATLAB/Simulink Toolchain.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in developing complex real-time embedded firmware systems.
  • Experience in development methods such as model-based system engineering, rapid prototyping, and agile methods.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening, with a strong command of English language.
