Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at TechnipFMC. As a key member of our Application Engineering group, you will be responsible for researching, planning, and coordinating the design of mechanical products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop original designs of mechanical products and systems, utilizing extensive knowledge of engineering theory, mathematics, and practical mechanics.
  • Perform testing of prototype and production equipment to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in customer and project review meetings to discuss project assignments and report on progress.
  • Analyze project work scope to develop and coordinate design/drafting manpower requirements.
  • Assist in conceptual customer design proposal, identification of application, and preparation of designs and layouts.
  • Lead design staff in analyzing design alternatives, suggesting design options, and preparing layouts.
  • Review complete product layouts, working from detail drawings and sub-assemblies, and prepare and review all levels of engineering calculations.
  • Create, check, and review Technical Change Requests (TCRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through the ECN process.
  • Be responsible for project status, ensuring on-time delivery, productivity, and quality and safety of design.
  • Provide a link with the Product Groups to transfer new technologies or design improvements to operations.
  • Follow all TechnipFMC rules and procedures for Engineering, Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety.
  • Conduct design reviews and conduct Site Installation Tests (SITs).
  • Go on field assignments for new product installation and commissioning.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2 to 4 years of experience in the field.
  • Strong technical basis in Mechanical engineering with CAD software experience.
  • Knowledge of TechnipFMC products and manufacturing processes or related experience preferred.
  • Experience in leading and supporting others in team building and time management skills.
  • Skills include design, product knowledge, enabling technology, and computer skills.
  • Good command of English.
