Lead Offshore Structural Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled structural engineer to perform structural analyses for subsea structures. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing subsea structures, including pile foundations and shallow foundations, as well as earthquake engineering using time domain methods. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of geotechnical and foundation engineering, particularly with regards to gravity base and pile design.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing FEED and/or detailed design engineering for subsea structures, including pre-services, in-place, seismic ELE/ALE, and other related tasks. They will also write concepts, design methodologies, and engineering reports, and direct drafters for drawing issuance and MTOs preparation. Furthermore, they will support the procurement and fabrication team during yard sourcing and subsea structure fabrication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Design & Construction (offshore, civil engineering)
  • At least 5 years of working experience as a structural engineer, including minimum 2 project experience of designing subsea structures
  • Good knowledge in subsea structures (design & installation) and associated design code API-RP-2A
  • Experience in both pile foundations and shallow foundations
  • Experience in Earthquake engineering (ELE & ALE) using method and/or time domain methods
  • Relevant Knowledge & Experience in geotechnical / foundation engineering (Gravity base & Pile)

Skills:

  • SACS (pre-service, in-place, fatigue, spectral ELE)
  • USFOS (Time domain ALE, Pushover)
  • Finite Element Software STADD Pro / ANSYS / ABAQUS or equivalent
  • GRLWEAP (pile driveability)
  • AUTOCAD
