Job Description

Our team is seeking an experienced Storage Administrator to join our dynamic group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and monitoring of our storage systems.

  • Administer and maintain the Storage Area Network (SAN) system.
  • Provide support for Storage Area Network and Enterprise Backup installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct regular health checks on storage devices and ensure comprehensive documentation of the storage solution is in place.
  • Develop test plans with the customer to ensure the solution can function fully.
  • Perform Enterprise Backup Administration and management of Symantec or Commvault backup environment.
  • Configure and schedule backup jobs.
  • Troubleshoot backup-related issues.
  • Plan capacity for tape libraries and backup servers.
  • Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) for critical systems and ensure successful rebuild of Production or DR servers after each DR.
  • Identify potential changes and system improvements for consideration and implementation.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Storage (SAN) and/or Backup Administrator in administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in handling level 1 and level 2 storage-related problems.
  • Good knowledge of EMC, Hitachi, and Huawei storage systems.
  • Proficiency in Tape, Troubleshooting, EMC Storage, Technical Operations, Hardware, Active Directory, VMware, Scripting, Administration, NAS Storage, Firmware, Windows, Performance Tuning, storage systems, ITIL, Scheduling, Disaster Recovery, Virtualization, and Linux.
