Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized occupational therapy programs to enhance the lives of residents in a nursing home setting. Your primary goal will be to empower residents to achieve optimal independence by improving and restoring their abilities in self-care, daily living, work, and leisure activities.

You will conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify rehabilitation needs and create tailored treatment plans that cater to each resident's unique requirements. Your expertise will also be sought after to provide guidance on assistive devices and strategies to improve function in daily activities.

Effective communication and collaboration with various healthcare professionals are essential aspects of this role. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and refer residents to relevant specialists when necessary.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will play a vital role in training and supervising occupational therapy students, assistants, and junior staff members. This includes mentoring them on program implementation, ensuring safe and effective treatment practices, and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization.

Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council
  • 1-2 years of experience in rehab services, nursing homes, or hospitals
  • Fully registered therapist with the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council preferred
