About This Role

As a Senior R&D Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing EDA software solutions for High Speed Digital design applications. You will work in a fully Agile software development team in a geographically distributed organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and design EDA software solutions for High Speed Digital design applications.
  • Implement software solutions using C/C++/Python programming languages.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional product development teams to deliver solutions that enhance and complement our overall EDA flow.
  • Lead by example and help grow a high-performance team and nurture a culture of quality, ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
  • Provide technical support to key customers.
  • Research problems discovered by QA or Customers and provide product fixes.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in complex C/C++/Python software development.
  • Working knowledge of C++/Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Proficiency in algorithm design/tradeoffs, data structures, data flow, and API design.
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in geometry processing & the simplification, EM simulation, high-frequency design, and S-parameters.
  • Experience in analysis of high-speed serial and/or DDR channels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take on some planning and mentoring responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of Jenkins CI/CD development flows and impact of DevOps on architecture.
Desirable Skills

The following skills are desirable but not required:

  • Prior experience in developing EDA software tools.
  • Knowledge of EDA tools and EDA flows.
  • Knowledge of GUI development using Qt.
  • Knowledge and experience of development/application of AI/ML tools.
  • Knowledge with board testing technology, IEEE boundary scan standards and programming algorithms.
  • Experience in design, implementation and deployment of software that support multiple platforms.
