Job Title:

Engineering Manager

The role of the Engineering Manager is a vital one in ensuring the seamless integration of technical expertise and business objectives. This position oversees a team of technicians and external technical professionals to guarantee the successful execution of engineering projects and the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control of Plant Equipment: The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring the working condition of plant equipment, keeping abreast of the latest information from logs books and service reports, and overseeing the operation and maintenance of all plant equipment. Appropriate action will be taken when necessary.

  • Work Order Control System: The manager will follow up on outstanding work orders, check workloads and efficiency across various sections, perform quality checks on completed work orders, solicit feedback from technicians, and consolidate suggestions for improvement.

  • Preventive Maintenance Program: In collaboration with the Chief Engineer, the manager will plan and implement annual preventive maintenance schedules, including designing and implementing cost-effective repair schedules for various equipment and controls. The technician on duty will carry out PM program work according to the schedule, and work quality will be monitored.

  • Energy Conservation Program: Supervising and guiding technicians to execute energy conservation programs, closely monitoring and controlling operating parameters of utilities/equipment operations to ensure high utilization efficiency. Any deviations from permitted parameters will be reported to the Chief Engineer.

  • Training: Arranging on-the-job training and recording all training activities.

  • Emergencies: Working alongside the Chief Engineer to ensure that fire protection systems operate in accordance with design requirements, coordinating engineering support as needed during hotel emergency procedures.

  • Others: Recommending methods for improving hotel equipment and facility performance, performing other duties as directed by the Chief Engineer.
